The Outreach Committee is responsible for bringing the churched and un-churched
into our congregation so they may accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which will
enable them to go forth and witness the Gospel of the Lord.
The otureach committee is responsible for the following tasks:
- Visitors
Visitors will receive a "Welcome Packet" inviting them back to our church.
- Greeters
Responsible for the staffing of all services: Saturday 6:00pm, Sunday 8:15am, and
10:45am. Also, Holiday services when people are available
- Food Bank
St. Paul's supports our sister congregation Zion Lutheran in Painesville, with non-perishable
food donations September through May. Food Bank boxes are located in front and back
of the church.
- Media Outreach
Audio taping of sermons is available on-line, CD's of sermons are available upon
request, video taping of special events and baptisms. Diane Wayner has coordinated
various media outreach tools, including News-Herald articles, coverage and ads.
- Missionary Outreach
St. Paul's supports the May family in Africa; Rev. James, Tiina, and their five
children with financial and spiritual contributions throughout the year. St. Paul's
also supports Rachel Sekki who is currently on a teaching mission in Taiwan.
- Externally Focused Church
The Outreach Committee in 2010 is continuing to explore opportunities to reach out
to the unchurched in our community to bring them to faith in Jesus Christ. We will
be providing information in the future months regarding 'PACK' (Planned Acts of
Christian Kindness) events where we can deliver the Gift of the Gospel, as well
as helping others with their earthly needs.
- Fellowship
Fellowship events include a Hayride, Bowling Bash, Mini-Golf Outing and Lake County
Captains' Games.
